Start a Team!
Are you a student or parent/guardian?

Student
The best way to get experience building and programing a robot right away is by checking out a robot-in-a-box. The robot-in-a-box is a box of everything you need to build and program your first robot! It includes all the parts you need and a manual to guide you through it.  This way, you can build and program a cool robot from the safety of your own home. To get a robot-in-a-box, email us at brooklineroboticsinitiative@gmail.com. We're so excited you're interested!

Another way you can get involved is by starting a team!
In order to start a team, you'll need some teammates, 2 parents or guardians to be your coaches, a space to work, and some parts. No prior robotics experience is needed! Go here for more information about starting a team.

For High School Students Only:
Do you go to BHS? If so, check out the robotics club we started! The club meets every Friday during X block where you'll learn how to build and program a robot and get the opportunity to check out a robot-in-a-box. Learn more here.
Parent/Guardian
Would you be interested in starting a team for your child(ren)? No prior robotics experience is necessary! You'll need a group of 2 -10 kids, a space to work, and some parts.
Being a coach is a rewarding experience that will ultimately set your child(ren) up for success in the future. FIRST completely changes the way we think of robotics by combing teamwork, competition, motivation, and passion all within a little robot.
Hear from 10-year coach, Adam Rizika, about his experience heading elementary school, middle school, and high school teams.
